Custom KPIs is a tool that lets you build Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) tailored to your operation.

Configuring Custom KPIs

To access Custom KPIs:

  1. While in your schedule, open Preferences .

  2. Go to Custom KPIs (BETA) in the Misc section or using the search bar.

  3. Hover over +Custom KPIs (BETA) and click +Load Custom KPIs (BETA).

  4. A list of available KPI templates will appear. We’ll go over these in the next section.
To use a template, select one from the list and click Apply.

Templates

Some of the templates are ready-to-use KPIs that require no additional input—simply load the template and save your preferences.

Examples include:

  • Efficiency

  • Total duty cost

  • Total layover time

  • Deadhead distance

Other templates are based on time definitions and offer some customization options.

Examples include:

  • Sum/Average/Median of Time definition

  • Number of duties with time definition

  • Time definition as a percentage of another time definition

Depending on the template, you can select the time definitions you want to include in the calculations and, in some case, the calculation options.

For example, when loading the Sum/Average/Median of Time definition template, you can select the calculation option (sum, average, or median), and the time definition that you want to calculate it for.

Notes:

  • These templates let you select any time definitions created within Scheduling, including those made with the Time Definition Designer overview

  • For clarity and easy recognition in the KPI dashboard, it’s best to rename your KPIs using the Name field.
