Scheduling stats

A powerful tool for analyzing your schedule to make better data-driven decisions.

Stats is a feature that is consistent in all three products of the P/S/R platform (Planning, Scheduling and Rostering). It’s a powerful tool for analyzing and getting more information from your schedule.

By clicking on Stats you can see additional information of the trips on the left side of the schedule. You can activate them by clicking on the icon and ticking the properties you wish to view:

Once you click Apply, the schedule with look like this:

You can click on a specific property like the Start Time of trips, it will sort the Gantt view of trips on the schedule according to the Stat as shown below:


Another very useful tool is calculating the Min, Max, Sum and Avg on the bottom left side of the screen:

Hide stats

If you don’t want to view the stats, click on the double arrow to collapse the columns without having to unselect them.

To view the stats again, simply click on the double arrow once more to expand them.

Remove stats

To remove some or all stats, open stats and either uncheck the stats you want to remove, or click Reset to remove all stats. Then click Apply to confirm your changes.

Examples of stats

Here are some examples of stats you can apply to your schedule:

Vehicle stats:

  • Vehicle type

  • Start time

  • End time

  • Start point

  • End point

  • Depot pull time (the total duration of depot pulls in a day, including midday pull-ins/outs)

  • Depot pull distance (the total distance of depot pulls in a day, including midday pull-ins/outs)

  • Driving time

  • Spread

  • Deadhead distance

  • Deadhead time

  • Platform time (the total duration for which the vehicle is not in the depot)

  • Revenue distance (the sum of service trip distances)

  • Revenue time (the sum of service trip durations)

  • Layovers time (the total duration of layovers)

  • Distance

  • Estimated crew cost

  • Deadhead cost

  • Deadhead distance cost

  • Deadhead time cost

  • Platform time cost

  • Relief trip distance cost

  • Revenue

  • Penalty cost

  • First trip direction

  • First trip origin

Crew stats:
