S-023-V2-EN
Custom trips are trips that are not from your timetable. They are local to this schedule specifically. A custom trip can be a stand-by event or a spare event, a green road, etc. However, when you add these custom trips to the vehicle schedule, you allow the system to optimize/analyze them as well. The trip created will not be synced with the timeplan.
To add a custom trip, follow these steps:
Click on the Edit button (pencil icon) on the top menu to enter the editing mode.
Click on the plus sign on the top left side of the screen:
As you can see below, you will be prompted to add the Route where you want to assign the custom trip. It can be an existing or a new route. You can then add the Direction (Inbound or Outbound), Alternative (pattern), the Vehicle Type for the trip (Double Decker etc), Catalogue # which is the same as the Route code (STF in the example below), the From and To locations of the custom trip (if it’s circular then only one location) and the travel Time.
Note: The custom trip will not be added to the timetable in the Timeplan.
3. Click on ADD. the custom trip will move to the stack:
The black dot on the left side of the trip shows that it is a custom trip.
4. The status bar at the bottom of the screen will show that there is an unassigned trip:
To assign the trip to a vehicle or duty, manually move it from the stack in the vehicles and duties schedule. Once you do that, you will see that the status bar at the bottom of the screen will show that there are no unassigned trips.
Note: You can also delete this custom trip by clicking on the trip and hitting the bin icon:
