Deleting trips can only be performed on the timeplan, as trips are controlled by the timeplan. However, you can delete events surrounding the trip, like deadheads, from the schedule.
In this article you will learn how to delete events from your schedule.
To delete a deadhead, right click on the deadhead event and hit Delete:
Once you have deleted a deadhead, hovering over the deadhead location you will see a plus sign appearing with which you can add an event type and also decide where the deadhead should go from and to by the From and To fields:
Note: Make sure you are in the Edit mode by clicking on the pencil icon on the top menu bar of the screen.
By clicking on the plus sign you can also add a Layover. This is to send the vehicle to an intermediate location and then continue the trip:
Once you add a layover by clicking on the Layover event and adding the location from where the layover would occur and hit APPLY, the system will move the other connected events like the pre-trip, post-trip, pull in, pull out or the deadhead
according to the layover, as shown below:
You can also add a deadhead between trips. In the example below, the deadhead is added to send the vehicle to Rotherham Interchange:
Once the deadhead has been added, the system will generate the other events like pre-trip/post-trip from and to the location of the deadhead Rotherham Interchange
to connect the deadhead’s location with its adjacent trips if required:
Moreover, by clicking on a deadhead and hitting Edit, the distance, the start and end times, and duration of the deadhead, can be updated:
