If you have electric vehicles in your fleet that you would like to utilize in your schedule, you should set the following preferences:

Charging Management (optional)
In this article, you will learn how to configure the Electric Vehicle Types preference. for electric vehicles in your schedule. This preference lets you set the types of vehicles in your EV fleet, define what batteries they use, and calculate CO2 emission savings.
Notes:
Before setting the Electric Vehicle Types preferences, you must set the Batteries preference.
Note: This preference can also be made available in the Planning product as a part of the Timetable Optimization (TTO) Suite. The Planning version of the preference looks and works identically, so the instructions in this article still apply there.
Open Preferences.
Switch to the All tab underneath the search bar.
In the Electric Vehicles section, click Electric Vehicle Types.
Click Load Template.
Go to the Optibus tab, click on the Electric Vehicles Type template, and click Apply.
Define the parameters:
Electric vehicle type - the name of the type.
Battery - the battery used by this vehicle type. The listed options are taken from the Batteries preference.
CO2 emissions (kg/km or kg/mile) - average CO2 emissions for a similar diesel vehicle. This is an optional parameter for calculating a KPI called CO2 Emissions saved.
Once done, click Save & Close or proceed to set up other preferences.
Note: other vehicles that do not get a battery allocated to them will still be considered diesel in the optimization engine.
