If you have electric vehicles in your fleet that you would like to utilize in your schedule, you should set the following preferences:
Charging Stations
Charging Management (optional)
In this article, you will learn how to configure the Charging Stations preference. This preference lets you set the charging locations, be it at the depot, at relief stops, or at other places. This in turn will have an impact on optimization. You can also set the capacity of depots or fast charging stops to charge vehicles concurrently.
Notes:
Before setting the Charging Stations preference, you must set the Chargers preference.
Note: This preference can also be made available in the Planning product as a part of the Timetable Optimization (TTO) Suite. The Planning version of the preference looks and works identically, so the instructions in this article still apply there.
Open Preferences.
Switch to the All tab underneath the search bar.
In the Electric Vehicles section, click Charging Stations.
Click Load Template.
Go to the Optibus tab, click on the Charging Station template, and click Apply.
Set the parameters:
Charging station name.
Charger - the type of charger available at this station. The list of options is previously defined in the Chargers preference.
Total vehicles - the maximum number of vehicles that can be charged simultaneously at this station.
Location - all the stops and/or depots equipped with this charging station and using the same charger. Tip: use the Stop Groups preference to group multiple stops together.
Once done, click Save & Close or proceed to set up other preferences.
