If you have electric vehicles in your fleet that you would like to utilize in your schedule, you should set the following preferences:
Chargers
Charging Management (optional)
In this article, you will learn how to configure the Chargers preference. This preference lets you assign names and charging profiles to each charger, and any setup time needed before charging.
Note:
Before setting the Chargers preference, you must set the Charging Profiles preference.
This preference can also be made available in the Planning product as a part of the Timetable Optimization (TTO) Suite. The Planning version of the preference looks and works identically, so the instructions in this article still apply there.
Instructions
Open Preferences.
Switch to the All tab underneath the search bar.
In the Electric Vehicles section, click Chargers.
Click Load Template.
Go to the Optibus tab, click on the Charger template, and click Apply.
Define the parameters:
Charger name (for example: Wave 250, E2 plug-in);
Charging profile - defines supported batteries and the charging rate. These profiles must be set in advance in the Charging Profiles preference.
Setup time (in minutes) - time required before charging. This field is optional.
Once done, click Save & Close or proceed to set up other preferences.
