Platform Time is a template of the Time Definitions preference.
It’s a fully customizable time definition, and although this template is called Platform Time, you get to define what Platform Time consists of.
The template works by including all the durations within a duty, and then excluding some aspects from the count if needed.
To define a platform time:
Open Preferences.
Search for Time Definitions in the search bar and click on it in the list.
Click Load Template.
Search for Platform time in the Optibus tab. Select it and click Apply.
Example
Platform time can be defined as the total time the driver spends in the vehicle, not including sign-off, sign-on, travels, splits, or meal breaks, but including changeover. To exclude breaks, open the Break IDs list and select the relevant breaks:
In the Exclude post-trip by purpose type drop-down, check the break, driver base, and split boxes. Do not check changeover to include those durations in the Platform time:
Repeat for Exclude pre-trip by purpose type, Exclude sign-off by purpose type, Exclude sign-on by purpose type, and Exclude travels by purpose type.
Other customizable parameters include deciding whether to treat attendance time as platform time, which is true by default, with Yes being preselected.
