Split Break Definition

Splits are duties containing two or more pieces separated by a break over one hour in length. They are usually not paid and the driver is off-duty.

Even if the schedule doesn’t contain any splits, or if split breaks aren’t allowed, you still need to define it in the preferences. This is because it is functioning as a way to reject duties with breaks that are too long.

Setting Split Break Definition

  1. Go to the preferences menu.

With this template, you can decide what is a split break i.e. a break over a certain amount of time and if a split only happens on changeovers.

Set up the splits to your requirements, e.g. minimum split break being 2 hours and 30 minutes long and they don’t have to happen only on changeovers.

If the schedule does not have split breaks, then set the Min split break to be the max meal break duration allowed e.g. 1 hour.
