Reposition Duty for breaks limitations

If your work limitations allow it, you can add breaks at the beginning or at the end of a duty, or before or after a pull in/out event. By default, the system does not allow this, but if you have very long depot pulls, it can provide more duty options and lead to a better solution.

For example, if you have a very long pull out event of 2 hours, and your driver is then scheduled to start a new trip which takes another 2 hours immediately after, they won't be able to take their break during these 4 hours. By using the Reposition preference, you will allow a break between the pull out and the first service trip, by moving the pull out so it will start slightly earlier.

How to set the preference

1. Open the preferences by clicking the preferences icon on the top left of the screen.

2. In the search bar, type 'Reposition Duty Start End Tasks For Breaks'

3. Click on 'Load Template' at the bottom of the pop-up screen, and choose the 'OPTIBUS' tab to see our example preferences. You can also use your own template if one has been saved in your tab.

4. Select 'Reposition Duty Start End Tasks For Breaks', and fill in the template's fields.
