When you optimize your vehicle schedule, the system will automatically generate ID numbers for the vehicles. If you prefer to select the ID numbers yourself, you may do so via preferences.
1. In the schedule, click on the preferences button.
2. In the preferences window, click All and select Vehicle ID Generator (either by searching in the search box or finding it under Vehicles).
3. Click Load Template at the bottom of the preferences window.
4. Click the Optibus tab and choose the template with the setting you prefer. Click Apply to save the preference template.
For example, the template "Sort by line and start time ID generator" allows you to set the first ID from which the system will to start generating the IDs.
5. Fill in the parameters as needed, and click Save.
6. Back in the schedule, click the schedule updates tab (the half-circles and arrows on the top left) and select Generate IDs. Select Vehicles to re-generate the vehicle IDs based on the preferences you set.
After generating the new vehicle IDs, you can also manually change duty IDs.
