When optimizing a schedule, the platform takes all the trips and reassigns them according to the preferences you have defined. Sometimes you might want to keep some trips out of the optimization process, to leave them as they are, or to edit them yourself manually.
You can link trips together or lock an entire vehicle or duty to prevent it from being changed by the optimization process.
To lock a vehicle or duty, hover over its ID and click on the padlock icon left of the ID. Once clicked, the icon will remain.
You can also lock trips in bulk by checking the boxes next to the vehicles and then clicking the padlock button above the list of IDs:
The trips in a locked vehicle (or duty) will not change during the optimization process.
To unlock, click on the lock icon again.
Note: If you lock a duty that belongs to a preference group that does not have the Exclude from optimization ticked, the optimization process can still create more duties from this group.
