Backward sync lets you synchronize the time changes in your schedule with the linked timeplan. Here is how it works:
When you edit trip start times in the schedule, black dots appear on modified trips in the Gantt view, indicating that they are now out of sync with the timeplan.
A Sync [Tp] button will appear in the top-right corner, next to your list of service IDs:
Click the button and you will get a list of changes that were made to the schedule.
In the bottom-left corner of that window, you will also see a Tp icon. Clicking on it will take you to the linked timeplan, letting you quickly review it if needed.
To accept the changes and sync with the timetable, click Sync. In a few seconds, you will receive a confirmation that the schedule and the timetable are synced.
Notes:
Trips that are locked in the timetable cannot be backward-synced. You will receive an error message asking you to unlock the trips first.
A backward sync cannot be done while a regular sync is required. For example, if you've changed some trip times in the timeplan, those must be synced with the schedule first. Learn more in this article: Sync the Schedule with the Timeplan
