Backward sync

Backward sync lets you synchronize the time changes in your schedule with the linked timeplan. Here is how it works:

  1. When you edit trip start times in the schedule, black dots appear on modified trips in the Gantt view, indicating that they are now out of sync with the timeplan.

  2. A Sync [Tp] button will appear in the top-right corner, next to your list of service IDs:

  3. Click the button and you will get a list of changes that were made to the schedule.

  4. In the bottom-left corner of that window, you will also see a Tp icon. Clicking on it will take you to the linked timeplan, letting you quickly review it if needed.

  5. To accept the changes and sync with the timetable, click Sync. In a few seconds, you will receive a confirmation that the schedule and the timetable are synced.

Notes:

  • Trips that are locked in the timetable cannot be backward-synced. You will receive an error message asking you to unlock the trips first.

  • A backward sync cannot be done while a regular sync is required. For example, if you've changed some trip times in the timeplan, those must be synced with the schedule first. Learn more in this article: Sync the Schedule with the Timeplan
