Issue:
If you have made changes to the timeplan and refresh the schedule to sync with the timeplan you might see a red warning “This schedule isn’t synced with the timeplan because the timeplan has validation errors”.
Solution:
To show this in an example, let’s add a new trip in the timetable:
When you switch to the schedule and click on refresh to sync the schedule you’ll see this warning:
The schedule will remain unsynced. To fix it let’s go back to the timeplan. Let’s check the validation panel for the specific route for any errors.
You can see that there is one error that some trips are missing trip IDs, this was the new trip that we’ve added.
Since errors are issues you need to resolve in order to continue, the trip ID needs to be assigned to this trip. To fix the error let’s assign the trip ID to the new trip:
Note that trip ID 111 has been added to the new trip:
If you check the validation panel the error has also been resolved:
Now when you go back the schedule, it will not be synced. Click Sync and the schedule will successfully sync with the timeplan:
Common cases of encountering errors in the timeplan are missing trip IDs or missing running times. Some errors can also be customized to flag, for example if you want the property Depot Code to be mandatory for the timeplan, then if a trip is missing a Depot Code it will flag an error in the validation panel in the timeplan and will prompt the sync error in the schedule as well.
