This article explains how to export project data where a schedule is linked to a timeplan and import it into another project (that could be under a different domain).
This requires us to first export the original timeplan in JSON format, export a dataset from it in the new project, export all services from the original schedule, and then finally import them into our new dataset.
Instructions
1. Export the JSON of your timeplan from the old project and import it into the new one:
2. Go into the newly imported timeplan and click Export To Dataset. Match the filter to that of your old schedule dataset.
In order to do this you'll need to resolve any errors you might have in your timeplan’s validation panel. |
3. Go to the schedule in the original project and click Export All Services:
4. Return to the dataset in your new project. You'll be able to import the schedule by clicking on the 'Import Schedule' button and using the 'full schedule' file that was exported from the old schedule:
You should now have a successfully imported schedule file linked to a timeplan.
